John Calvin has been largely studied given his influential role in the Reformation. I come from a Church with strong traditions. During catechisms, we were mainly taught about Calvin’s theology areas such as predestination, redemption, Christology, power and sacramental theology. Little said regarding ecological dimensions of thoughts. It is only recently that Presbyterian issued devotional study guide response to United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (2015). But manual more report than systematic teaching based on Calvin. The question how far cosmology can contribute shape Christian attitudes toward nature. This article tries answer this by retrieving implications comments different aspects Genesis 1.
